What’s Up With the Website?

You may have noticed that the website has changed. I am testing out a new blank theme I found, called Constellation. It is highly optimized and set up for HTML5. It is intended as a starter theme for WordPress, so I’m looking into using it as my new starting point for themes. The website will change over the next couple weeks as I learn the in’s and out’s of the code.

Email Status: Resolved, I Think

Well, I think we have the email at tabyanan.com working again. It took all week working with IPOWER, but we seem to be receiving mail now. I say “seem” because the email started coming in here and there, with a lot of bounces in between. I’m cautiously optimistic, though, that it’s working correctly now.

One interesting bit is that some online tools still show that MX records are not set, but others say they are set correctly. My other Google Apps domains don’t have this problem.

Anyway, thanks everyone for your patience during these technical difficulties.

Email Problems

As some of you may know, I am having problems with my email at tabyanan.com. I am working with Google and now IPOWER to resolve the problem.

This all started when I tried to turn on the Postini services within Google Apps. If you haven’t… DON’T. I’m not sure whether it was an IPOWER domain record problem or a problem with Google Apps, but stay away unless you are ready for some headaches.

Testing Feedburner

I have been looking for a way to measure my RSS subscription stats, and now that Feedburner is part of Google I am trying it out. I still like the Google RSS reader more than Feedburner’s, but I am interested in the stat portion of their service.

New Website, Finally

Well, the new website is here. It took a while for me to get it converted over to WordPress 3.0 and get my info updated. During this process, I had to run off to Hawaii and get married, so I want to thank everyone for being patient with me. I still need to put in the portfolio snapshots, but I hope to get that done this weekend.

The new website is much more streamlined, by design. I also took a more conversational tone with the static content, again by design. Let me know what you think.
