I am updating the company website with WordPress. As you can see, the site has been changing over the last few days, and will change more as I put more pieces of the puzzle in place.
Why go to WordPress? Simple: I hate reinventing the wheel. WordPress does what Tabyanan Consulting was doing for years — but better. The vast development community has refined the software to the point where WordPress is more than just a blogger’s platform; it is more of a full CMS. That lets others do the heavy lifting and lets me concentrate on the creative and usability aspects of development. Oh yeah… and get things done faster.
And what better way to learn to create websites for clients than to do it for our own? And that is exactly what I am doing. I plan to get the site finished by the end of the week, from start to finish. As time goes on, I will be converting existing clients over to WordPress, as well as developing sites for new ones. That will let them concentrate on their content, and let me concentrate on site design…
Later.
